Human Race - Fort Collins Description

The 35th annual Fort Collins Human Race includes a Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and kids 1-mile races. All race courses are run on scenic and fast courses through downtown Fort Collins and along the Cache la Poudre River. Starting on Mountain Avenue near the historic Avery House races run down beautiful and cool shady streets.   

Half Marathon - 7:00 am Start at Civic Center Park 

10k - 7:30 am Start at Civic Center Park

5k - 8:00 am Start at Civic Center Park

Kids 1 Mile - 9:00 am Start at Civic Center Park 

Man vs Machine! 5k participants have the unique opportunity to race historic trolley car 21 through the race course. All participants who can out run the trolley win special bragging rights swag item!  

10k & Half Marathon 10k and Half Marathon run down Mountain Avenue, then split from the 5k course heading North on Taft Hill Road downhill to the Poudre Bike Trail. Heading East on the bike path following the Poudre river downstream 10k runners then turn South just before College Ave and run Mason street back to the finish at Civic Center Park. Half Marathon runners continue on Poudre Bike Trail out to Timberline Road.

Post-race Finish
Celebrate your accomplishment at the finish with a pancake breakfast donated by Snooze and the Horse & Dragon Beer Garden!  Awards, t-shirts, chip timing, and finisher medals (medals -Half Marathon finishers only).  

This event is raising funds for our local high school cross country teams. Please help us reach our goal of raising $5000!
